The director of Central European Institute of Technology CEITEC MU opens position:
Cryo-EM Laboratory Manager / Research Assistant
Group leader: Jürgen Plitzko, Ph.D.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to oversee cryo-EM operations within the
group of Electron Microscopy at the Central European Institute of Technology / Masaryk
University in Brno, Czech Republic. The group will be equipped with Titan Krios and Tecnai
F20 transmission electron microscopes and Versa3D FIB/SEM microscope. (further details

Job description:
The primary responsibility of the lab manager will be day-to-day operations of the laboratory,
maintenance of the microscopes and training of new users. The lab manager may also
participate on research projects including preparation of cryo-specimen, data collection and
image processing (both single particle analysis and tomography reconstructions).

Requirements:
Candidates should be interested in electron microscopy, have good communication skills and
be able to function in a team. Basic knowledge of English is required. Previous experience
with operation of electron microscopes is a plus.
