Vacancy - Image Data Processing and Analysis

We are seeking a young expert – postdoc for the Department of Biology of the Cell Nucleus. The main role of the postdoc will be supporting the research team with image data processing and analysis. The postdoc will also coordinate training in biomedical imaging for graduate and PhD students, and participate in educational activities as a teacher. The successful candidate must have PhD (or equivalent) in biology or biomathematics, a strong experience with (ultrastructural) 3D reconstructions and/or spatial statistics, a good command in English (preferably CAE or equivalent), and advanced knowledge of MS Office. We especially encourage postdocs in early stages of their careers to apply. Due to rules of project set by grant provider only post-docs who obtained their PhD since April 2008 are eligible for the positions.

The position is available immediately till June 2015. After this period, successful researchers will have the opportunity to get further appointments within the EU-funded BIOCEV research centre (www.biocev.eu).
