Transmission Electron Microscopy in Life Sciences

Practical Course
30 November – 4 December 2026, IMG, Prague, Czech Republic

The course is aimed at beginners and intermediate users of transmission electron microscopes. After the course, participants will understand the principles of construction and function of transmission electron microscopes and will receive the extensive practice during hands-on sessions on transmission electron microscopes of varying complexity. The participants are encouraged to bring their own samples on TEM grids for imaging at room temperature. A brief theoretical overview of sample preparation methods, and demonstration of cryoTEM method is a part of the course, as well. The course will be taught in English.
